Why is it important to choose a Good Breeder?

You want to choose a Breeder before you choose a puppy, because the trust between you and your Breeder means, you rely on their expertise, opinion and knowledge in what you are looking for in a dog, and also trusting that Breeder will give your puppy the best start in life that it can have with health and training.  So what makes us different? We have allot of experience for one, in addition we have Veterinary knowledge with one of the best Veterinarians in the Nation in our family who has schooled us and also overseen our Breeding program from the beginning. With our extensive knowledge and experience we have developed the best Bloodlines in dog Breeding for our specific Breeds. We have been developing and refining our bloodlines for almost 2 decades and we have chosen never to line-breed our dogs, we outcross all of our bloodlines, which means we have spent allot of money purchasing our dogs from all over the Nation to ensures that any faults in the bloodlines don’t get passed on.

There is a saying, if you want to be a Millionaire Breeding dogs, start out as a Billionaire.  You don’t get rich Breeding dogs, we do it for the love of the dogs. The cost of the puppies, is a recovery cost, period.  People don’t realize the cost and work load that goes into a good Breeding program. Before someone places a deposit, we’ve already spent $7000-10,000 in cost to produce that litter of puppies, this includes, Vet supplies (vaccines, deworming, Albon, Vet visits), dog food, bedding, potty training supplies, heating/cooling, DNA Genetic Testing and of course the High Quality Breeding dogs that cost $3000-6000 (not including shipping) to have the best of the best, not someone’s “pet” that they decided to have a litter from and didn’t purchase Legal Breeding Rights, Registration or Health Records, our dogs are well thought out, DNA Genetically tested, approved Breeding dogs.

We have developed our own unique Bloodlines over the years from the best Genetically tested dogs, with type, color and conformation. Even though we cross our dogs to make Hybrids, we still use the best of both Breeds to create not only a healthy dog with longevity, but also a gorgeous one to show off. Many of our Purebreds from Honey Lake Mini Aussies went on to win in the show pen and have been rated some of the best in breed, type, conformation and agility.

Dog Breeding in and of itself is challenging at times but then there is the marketing portion, where most of our buyers are awesome, there are some that are not so nice. Some buyers haven’t done their homework, which we feel is super important, not only to research the Breeds but also research the Breeder’s program.  Others think they know all about your Breeding program (even though they’ve never bred dogs before), or they don’t understand the importance of a Breeder and buyer working well together. So every so often we will refuse a sale if a buyer is being too squirrely, dishonest or downright rude. We are real people that work really hard for our animals and for our buyers so we want the same respect in return.

It is important our puppies go to the right homes. We have protective protocols in place and get asked often for people to come “meet the dogs”. Let me ask you a question, would you let 2000 strangers a month come and snoop around your home and property?  Me neither. In addition to bringing diseases to our High priced animals, we also know not everyone has good intentions and we certainly don’t need nefarious creeps nosing our property, puppy thieves are more common than people think.

We have had our online Dog Breeding business since 2007 and every family has been happy and so in love with their puppy/dog and generally come back for a 2nd and 3rd puppy, which makes this all worth it.  We have Live testimonies from both our Purebred buyers and Hybrid buyers on our Social Media pages (Facebook) and they will attest we put 100% into every single puppy.  We always allow pick-ups at our place and once families meet us, see our place, they understand why we are so protective. We also occasionally will allow a family to come meet a puppy if he/she is still available and after they are weaned, received their first vaccines and had initial potty training, then the puppy is ready to meet a new family.

Throughout this page you will see several years of our past Purebred Aussies and Hybrid Doodles created from our amazing Breeding program, these dogs all have wonderful loving homes and have kept in touch over the many years. We hope you enjoy!
